Rogue Idea

well over on my test blog i’ve been writing random posts and not really gettng far cause im not sure what to write about.  i finally decided i’ll just talk about how people can make money online since that seems to be where most people are clicking when they are on the blog.  So the first place that i’m reviewing/recommending has already gotten me like 50 bucks.  basically a place that acts as a huge affiliate to a bunch of places, then gets people to sign up and gives you a little bit of the affiliate money they got.  pretty easy , most don’t require a credit card.  some do but most of them are free. some of the ones require that you buy something though, so those i won’t do except for on that sells ink and you get 15 dollars tomake a purchase, but the ink is only 16 dollars. so id be buying ink for 1 dollar so thats pretty good.

okay besides that I will also be launching another site that will be my attempt at getting some sort of constant flow of income coming from online.  I will probably do that next week or so. before october though because i think i will still try to apply to work in the bio genetics lab next month so i can have a job.   im trying to by some sort of miracle get rid of a few more credit cards before christmas time.  hopefully i can make it!  so far i’ve made like 350 off linkworth though so thats going pretty well.  i will try to get more out of that but theres really not much i can do to increase it since you just put listings and then advertisers come and choose/contact you.  okay well, gotta get back to studying.

okay after like 7 hours all morning freaking out and studying my ass off, i txt tony to see if we need a scantron and he tells me we canceled our test today. ahh, now that doesnt mean i wont have the test, it just means i’ll have it on wednesday. and i really dont know what to make of this news because now i have 1 test per day for the next three days! I should probably continue to study but after freaking out all morning, i’m taking a break.  which is a good thing because as soon as i checked my email just now i found more linkworth offers!! so yay for that.  i’ll be getting at least 250 dollars from them at the beginning of october now which i desperately need.  since my credit card that i want to get rid of soon only has 400 dollars left on it, 250 would be great so i can use it to take a huge chunk out of that debt and plus frankie said he’ll help me a little bit too if he can so hopefully i will be able to cancel that card by the end of next month!

Now, i wish i didn’t have to cancel them since how long you have a credit card and good history with them probably goes into your credit history. but what is the point of keeping a card that i’m never gonna use again?  the only reason why i’m even paying it off now is because my 0% is over.  not only that but i got a new one that will offer me 0 % for a year, and 9.x% after that when this current card putting me up at 27.99% after my intro rate is over!

besides that i’m pretty surprised that i’m getting stuff off linkworth so that makes me happy.  however, somehow i’m stilling getting little bits of adsense money from my test blog even though i haven’t updated in a while.  i plan to later tonight though so i will probably make a short post over there.   it’ll probably be about something random but oh well - a post is still a post, lol.  ah okay well hopefully i will keep getting linkworth offers, lol.  maybe after i get my first one people are more likely to pick me since they see i’ve already done one or something.  well, more later.

Yay!  Well last night I was at the library about to wait the normal 3 hours between my 1st class ending at 2:30 and my second (and last) class starting at 5:30.  Well Gordon calls me and suggests I go home because of some tropical storm Herberto.   I check online, and yep there’s a big storm right on Galveston in the map.  I decided to just ignore it and stay for class since my exam is on Monday and I wanted to see what he would say about the exam the class before.  I told my sister to go home early since it would be raining a lot.  Well at about 4 pm the library comes on their speakers with an announcement that they will be closing along with the university due to the storm predicted to come at Houston.  The school will not open till noon today!

So last night I went home early, and today I check and thankfully, they did not change their plans at the last minute - even though the storm turned out to completely miss us.  So I didn’t have to wake up early and go to biochem lab today!  Now, technically I still have school today at 1 pm but I am not going to drive there just for one class, plus the exam was cancelled and rescheduled for Tuesday already.

So yay, I don’t have school today!  Even though I don’t have school I’m sort of taking this as extra study time though this weekend since I will now have 3 tests this coming week.  Oh and I still haven’t gone out to buy myself a lime for my biochem class yet.

A while ago I made a little PHP thing to make myself flash cards.  Now before when I checked the printing it was very close to being aligned, yesterday when I used it at school and printed, they were no where near aligned (front and back).  So I posted on sitepoint about it, and I got nothing useful.  So now, I’m back on figuring out what the hell to do about that.  I’ve thought about converting it to a pdf file to print but I feel like thats sort of an overkill so hopefully I can figure something else out to format it to print in the same place on both sides. Right now, its printing a little closer to the left side than the right side on both sides, so that its not aligned completely.  Agh okay I’m going to go clean my room up a bit and study.

Well this week i have my first test. Sooooo I’m not really excited but I’m not like stressed either (probably will be next week when i have two more). Today we had another speaker in class and he actually graduated from the same program so that was encouraging to see. I have tried to keep up with most of my classes but the class I’m probably doing the worst in right now i human genetics just because I havent read or done anything for that class at all yet. all my other classes I’ve at least read the material that we’ve covered so far. I need to study for my entrepeneurship class though because i have an exam this thursday. I really don’t know whats going to be asked on the exam, but i heard the tests were supposed to be really easy. i’m supposed to go buy a scantron for it too tomorrow.

Not much else at school has been going on. except that i have decided i am not gonna spend anymore money there. its costing me too much already and i’m not going to buy any food there. i’ll just bring my own food. …or starve and wait till i get home. lol. which is probably going to happen a few times when i forget to bring food.

Oh actually, I’ve been trying to figure out how to convert media files and burn them on dvd. I finally converted with this WinAvi thing.  At first I thought it was pretty impossible and thought my laptop might not be strong enough to handle it.  But the other programs were really slow and this did it in 30 minutes (huge improvement from the estimate time givent o me by other programs that were in DAYS).  Sooooo Finally i found something that works with converting rmvb to other formats like mpeg and avi.  Okay so I burned  a dvd with  my test clilp in avi.  for some reason it plays on my laptop as a dvd but it wont play in my little dvd player.  so im gonna try it out on some other dvd players and see if it works or if i need to try a few other things to see whats wrong.  I’m hoping it does.  one problem is though each of my files or videos is 45 minutes, each dvd says it holds 80 minutes….  so thats kind of a waste if i can only use half of each dvd.  therefore…. I will try to cut out the beginnings and ends where theres credits and stuff to squish it in.  lol.   orrrr….i dont know how much a blu ray disc can hold, but I was kinda wishing I had one of those now cause then I could put more on it.  Even though, it would be way too much money to buy all that when dvds are cheaper now.

So after like weeks of searching for a converting program I finally found it.  On the way I found a few other stuff like other video converting things, which I’ll have to post about later cause I’m too lazy to look it up now.  And also sometimes I would get results about converting from all other formats EXCEPT rmvb, or from tape to dvd, or converters that were just wayyyyy too slow.   So I’m glad I sorta got that problem figured out.  Now I just gotta make the dvd playable on dvd players.  Or actually, I think i need VCD player, which I dont think I have.

Oh yeah, my CTR increased by ONE whole number percent on adsense!!  So my test blog is working out pretty well but like i said before, I am still working on ideas to bring traffic that will bring my money in.  I signed it up with linkworth, text-link-ads, and forsalebypublisher.  I dont think i’m going to use text-link-ads though because 50/50 is pretty steep plus forsalebypublisher.com doesn’t charge any commission.  Linkworth does, but its 70/30 so thats still much better than 50/50.  so that is my blog stuff for my other blog i have set up.  the good thing is hopefully I will be able to get some adsense check soon.  And I’m debating on payperpost for the blog or not.  Because since the other blog is new, It doesn’t have anything and will only be able to get crappy posts for like 5 bucks each.  I know I need money, but I’d rather spend time working on stuff thats gonna make more than 5 dollars.  anyways thats all for now.

yay!! Google analytics has updated my graph. First the scale was from 0-10, then 0-20, then 0-40, and now its 0-100!!! Yes, that means I have continued to steadily increase the amount of visitors to my site weekly. I will spend time this weekend to write stuff to post on there to drive more and more traffic. In the mean time, I am setting up another website that I think will drive traffic more easily and at a faster rate. I am trying to get more search engines to bring visitors to my site - it seems that people who go through search engines are more likely to click on ads than are people who come through referrals. The referrals has brought in a lot of traffic too especially from thoof.com. So…the next thing I will do is try to set a steady posting schedule to keep the blog looking active and encourage people to subscribe to the bookmark and come back to the site. I have a couple of ideas of things to do to bring a long term flow of traffic to the site but I will plan out the details and organize a plan of action for those on the weekend when I am writing another post for the site. So hopefully I will crank out some stuff this weekend to post so that I can bring in more traffic and continue till my graph has a scale reaching 200!!

Sooooo…Today I’m going to set a schedule for the week to follow and then get started by next week =)

So I am very happy about the little graph thing from google analytics, since the first week, the number of average unique visitors per day has been increasing steadily by 10 at a time. I know that may seem small to some people, but for me who didn’t really expect much, i’m pretty happy with those results! Other than that, my adsense ctr has been going up too, not 10% at a time lol, but like in little tiny tid bits at a time. Later I’ll probably go and try to write another post to keep the blog ‘active.’ Haven’t really put time into thinking about what to write about though. Oh, and since I think this blogging thing is going a litttttttle too slowly, I’ve decided to put up a website instead. Yep, I have an idea for it and am thinking of what domain to use. I will have to put things off till end of next week though to get started on it since I’ve got too many things going on already this coming week.

I took the MCAT on monday. I’m pretty sure I didn’t do so hot so yeah I’m planning to retake it in january and really prepare for it again this semester. I was just thinking about how to get an ongoing mcat study thing going on and then last night a friend asked me if I wanted to join hers. I have to talk to her next week but depending on what she has in mind I might join hers and set up my own thing too or I might just do whatever she has in mind. Anyways I had a whole plan out yesterday so we’ll just see what happens with her thing going on.

Okay other than that nothing else has been happening except I’ve just had my first two days of class. I think I like most of my classes so far. I probably like my entrepeneurship class the most right now because we will get to talk to multi billionaires =) but also because it seems really interesting and is a huge break away from all the science classes. My least favorite right now is probably Immunology but that might be because I haven’t had Plant Anatomy yet… lol. Okay well, I am going off now so I can meet some friends for lunch. Probably won’t be back till next week too.

After starting my money making experiment blog, i first made about 1 dollar pretty quick. It’s only been a little while but for some reason i got a lot more clicks than usual for today(well, anything more than 1 click is a lot to me, lol). Anyways so my total went from 1 dollar to over 5 dollars!!! That means I have been upgraded to eating a full meal instead of a dollar menu item! =) As you can see, at this rate, i will have 100 dollars in exactly 20 times 2 weeks, thats 40 weeks, lmao. But of course, I hope this rate will continue to increase =)

I was pretty surprised by that because google analytics didn’t really show that many hits for yesterday, then I also realized that the number that is the last number they show on the front page graph is the total for YESTERDAY. So i’ve been reading it all wrong this whole time. I went back to statcounter.com to sign up my other blog with my account there (and re-set up this one since i changed themes and i gotta put that code back in). I like statcounter information a lot better, but i like google analytics because its prettier - so I will use both lol.

Other stuff i’ve done so far is over at sitepoint i found a list of ‘widgets’ (who the hell made up that ugly word?) to install for wordpress. So i went ahead and picked out a few that I wanted and installed them there. I got this tags thing which i wanted, that lets you put ‘tags’ on posts so people can find them easier, it also generates some sort of meta description for you for each post. then i also got this social widget thats for book marking sites and i put a few (even though theres like 50 of them available) up that will show up underneath each post. I also signed up that blog with feedburner on my feed burner account that has this blog in it too. One more widget/thing that i want is one that will let me show ‘related’ posts underneath each post - i haven’t been able to find one thats what i want yet so i’ll have to search around later and see. Oh yeah and i’m trying to decide whether or not i wanna put my picture on the blog? I just don’t know where i’d put it though in the theme layout (and i dont really have time to make my own theme right now).

Besides that little update, i dont have much time to talk today since i have an exam tomorrow =( . so i’m going to study now, i will probably update again later this week

well i can’t decide what to make my other blog about. i have a couple of ideas, but none that i can keep up/focus on too well. for now i’m just doing random posts on whatever i feel like blogging about on there just so that it doesnt look inactive. another thing is, should i have a picture for each blog? a lot of blogs have a little picture to go with each post - i think i’d like the look of that, but i’d have to fix the template so it doesnt mess up the ad block in the single pages. hm ill have to plan more and think about what i want to do. i was also thinking about maybe making like video posts or something? but i dont know if that would take a lot more effort/time. i dont know i’ll have to look into it and see what i want.

well today i woke up late (again), and so now i’m gonna try to finish up some physics and then work on mcat stuff for the rest of the day. my goal is to go through all of my mcat books i have now so that next week i can get the other ones i saw at b&n to use those and go through them too. (and partially, i want them because i want some new books, hehe ). i’m a little bit sad today because i cant find my library list, it wasa list of libraries around here with their hours and now i have to make a new one =( okay thats all for now

okay so i have a plan outline for my money maker test site =) problem is its not gonna get started till mid september due to the same various things that i always come on here to rant about (physics and mcat study time). since i have to study so much lately its been non stop things to do. i sleep, go to class, do homework, write labs, mcat, then sleep and do it all over again. but anyways i did come up with some ideas and looked around today (since he let us out early and cancelled our lab for today) on some stuff that i wanted to find out so i could figure out what to do with that blog and i have some ideas that i’m gonna test to see if they work =). if i do make any more posts on there it will probably still be random topics just to see what happens and what works and what doesn’t. of course i’m also thinking about if i should just decide stuff and THEN get started all at once? or like..do stuff as i go? i sort of want to try to do things as i go but i cant really do that right now with everything else going on. but the thing is, i already started the damn blog, lol. so it feels like i’m abandoning it or something. … oh well. itll just have to wait till september when i can put everything together.

i think ill get my test back tomorrow, today he said that things werent looking so great since most people were making 50’s. hopefully i made higher than 50 lol. alright well i’m off to bed now , im going to bed early tonight. okay thats all for now.

yay!! thats the highest EVER for this site. normally its like 90% direct (which, would be me checking my own blog, lmao). mostly people have been finding my orange dream machine recipe and also lately i’ve had a few find my site through searching for ‘f*c* my cousin’ …yeah the second one is pretty random. anyways so that makes me happy. before i was talking about signing up for PPP to make some extra money online..well thats not working out very well. sooooo i’m making up a new plan but i’m not gonna use this blog for it, i’m using another one that i set up specifically so i can do it all on there and keep my own little place over here. Haven’t had time to really do much else besides physics problems lately so i’ll have to update more about this probably end of this coming week. and plus i need time to make a timeline and plan. most likely though, things wont be starting up till like september/october just because i will be working like twice the time on mcat now that i only have a month left and plus all this physics stuff everyday. once i get through this physics class and the mcat - i’ll be relieved of a a LOT of stress and time crunches. then i’ll have some time to breathe and do other things. and yes…i really will do it this time. okay break’s over, will update again later =)
