Rogue Idea

Well I heard about this couch to 5k program from a forum i’m on and so i decided i’m going to try it.  i made a very super sad attempt at it today and it totally kicked my ass.  i am completely out of shape and didnt even last 10 minutes (supposed to be 25-30 minutes per work out in this program).  So yeah I will probably stuck on being on ‘week 1′ stuff for quite a while until i can do it without feeling like killing myself.  beside that it was starting to rain and my ears were getting too cold to stay out while still feeling comfortable.  I was with frankie and arisu and they both did way better than me, lol.  so i have to a lot to work on.

speaking of arisu she has been much better lately about guarding her food and toys.  I’ve taught her ‘drop it’ recently and so she has learned to drop things.  I had to slowly work up from toys to her bones and food and some things she tries to get like pens and stuff she shouldnt be playing with.  that along with feeding her by hand every once in a while has made her a lot less crazy about guarding her food and things.  shes also more easily able to focus back on me and not be so ‘obsessed’ with her current thing she is watching/guarding.  today she was guarding her bowl of food and i asked her to go in her crate and she did!  shes also dropped bones for me (that she wouldve attacked anyone for in the past) and other things that i really didnt think would be easy for her to give up already.  so that is progressing really well!

frankie gave me a tripod for my camera for valentines day so I am going to try to make some little videos of her doing stuff or learning new stuff from now on =)

Well I am officially 22 today and I guess I had a pretty good day. I just stayed home and watched tv and did whatever all day. I guess it’s weird to think I’m already 22. I guess the main feeling I’m having is sort of depressing. Being an adult I feel like I should’ve accomplished ’something’ by now but I haven’t accomplished anything at all yet. I guess I just feel some pressure and some reality check moments where I gotta figure out what I’m supposed to do and how I’m going to make a living by now but I still haven’t yet. I know I’m still studying and preparing for med school but its not a sure thing so it makes me feel like I don’t really have a plan since I don’t have any back up.

Well on a ligther note the past weekend I had my birthday dinner with Linda at this Italian restaurant. Everything was going pretty well until the end where we came up short of money to pay and it was a huge disaster. After we finally left we went to dave and busters and stayed until they closed though so I guess I still had a lot of fun and it was nice seeing all my friends again all together.

I still had a pretty bad stomach ache this morning so I finally made an appointment for the doctor’s tomorrow. Apparently being a new patient means they need a lot of time or something cause no one would see me today just cause I’m new. So I will have to go in tomorrow finally. Yesterday Arisu went to the doctor for her bumps and itchyness. I went with my friend Michael and he brought me to the humane society to go tot he vet there. the place was completely PACKED. I have never seen that many people at the vet before. The place opened at 10 and we got there at 10:30 and it was a 2 hour wait and the entire place was full already. We had to go there, sign in, then go back to his house for an hour before going back. Good thing Arisu could play with his dog though so when we went back she was already tired from playing and wasn’t trying to get at all the other dogs or barking a lot. So we found out that Arisu has a special dog skin allergy. They gave her a shot to stop the swelling/inflammation/itchyness and then also some medicine to help it heal. Then some dog food too that is special for sensitive skin. All together the bill was 70 dollars so i was SUPER happy because at the regular vet place it would be at least 150 for all that. It’d be like 45 for regular exam (20 there at the humane society), then they charge me like another 30 for ‘diagnosing’ too like theyll probably take a test or something, then they would charge me at least 30+ for each the dog food bag and the shot and medicine. So from now on I’m going to bring Arisu to this new place and have her treated without being all crazily ripped off. They also sell the proplan dog food for puppy that Arisu ate as a puppy too there for cheaper than at the store. The place is a little far, but its worth the drive and saved me a lot of money. Today I got her to take her medicine finally, I tried to last night but she wouldn’t so today I had to get her some baby food to feed with it.

Well Frankie is out tonight at this concert so I don’t really have anything to do tonight, I’m gonna go read a little bit and watch some tv. I was going to take some p ics of the gifts I got but they were mostly shirts and gift cards. I did take a lts of pictures of the tennis bag i got though:

First I updated my wordpress thing (again) and the control panel and stuff is really…ewwww now. the colors are too light i cant hardly tell what is what. and they not onlyt hat but they MOVED the way things were in the page where you write posts? now i have to scroll down to pick my categories but i dont have to scroll down to manage my comments if i decide to randomly do so while writing a post. STUPID.

So thursday I think i tore my toe up a little and it hurt all thursday and yesterday pretty badly. I was in pain for almost the entire time. Thursday it was hurting REALLY bad, it would hurt even if I wasn’t moving it. Yesterday it hurt less if i wasn’t moving it and wasn’t as black as it was on Thursday. So I really have no idea what exactly caused this. I was playing tennis in class when I felt it hurt really badly , like a sharp pain but then it went away. I kept playing anyways and thought it would go away. I didn’t really feel it much for the rest of the game but started feeling it really bad after starting to walk to my next class. When I got to my music class I took off my shoe and sock and everythign looked normal, there was just a lot of sharp pain and I couldn’t press on that side of my foot at all anymore without it hurting. Then me and gordon went to eat lunch and the entire time it hurt pretty badly. By the time I got home i took off my shoes and socks again and by then my entire toe was BLACK. It was completely swollen and bruised looking. It hurt pretty badly all Thursday and yesterday it was almost at the same level of pain but much less overall since I wasn’t moving around all day like on Thursday. Last night I got some sort of bio coolant on it and it started to hurt realy bad but it felt much much better by the time i went to sleep. This morning it is feeling a lot better. I can at least walk on it without leaning on only one side of my foot. I am just glad this happened before the weekend and I hope I will feel better to play on Tuesday

well my laptop finally died, it wouldnt start windows at all and i got a new one. besides that i have just been going to school, playing tennis and sleeping a lot. i am trying to get back into the habit of waking up early so i can get more stuff done during the day but its so hard to wake up for some reason. also i am now completely broke and need to find a job. lol.

well i was on facebook lately and i dont have a lot of those applications added but today i tried to take this ‘what accent do you have’ quiz and i notice that the ads have button images on them that are links, that look like the facebook buttons for applications and everything else.  some of them even just say ‘continue’.  so like me, i was adding an application, there was a small ‘continue’ button inside the box and then a slightly bigger one underneath it that was part of the ad.  tricky!

yesterday morning i brought baby arisu to the doctor.  turns out she has some bacteria in her system so they gave her some antibiotics and some liquid medicine to help with the diarrhea, it worked instantly and last nigiht she slept all night, which means i got to sleep all night, thank god!  problem is arisu will NOT take her medicine without struggling.  they gave mea little syringe thing (no needle, just a flat cut tip to squirt the liquid out) to administer the liquid. i can stick it in her mouth and shoot it in but the antiobiotic is this huge pill (the size of those big orb weavers i used to torture in the backyard ).  well she wont eat anything or drink anything or touch anything tht has touched one of those pills.  she can smell it and avoids it at all costs. i tried to put it in the back of her throat but she snapped at me and bit my hand last night.  AND even though it was wayyyy back there, she somehow spit it back out.

i’ve tried a couple of treats and peanut butter, cheeses, etc.  she just eats everything around it and spits the pill out.  and she doesnt even like peanut butter so that didnt help at all.  this morning i had to hold her and use the little squirt thing to mix the pill with water and squirt it in.  she hates the taste but its for her own good even though i hate forcing her.  i wish i could give her a treat afterward but theres not really much to give her since shes gotta eat really plain foods.  ahh its raining like crazy again now. i’m so sick of this weather!  well, i better do my laundry now before everyone else gets home and tries to do theirs.

after today i will finally have gotten all my books for my classes.  i’m waiting at the library right now for my friend so i can get his own music book from him and also his little keyboard (for my music for children class).   Still missing a recorder for that class though, no idea where to get it from since classmates said in class today that they haven’t been able to find a place that sells them.  I will probably try to stop by the mall today and see if they have any in target since i will  be going to petsmart to buy arisu her food.  Thankfully i saved 70 dollars today by buying from my friend his old stuff, and also another 50 from my b&n gift card to get my anthropology book.  So now that i have all my texts i guess i will be doing a crap load of reading from now on.  today was the last day that i am going to go out to eat with my friends cause i have decided i spend way too much and will not spend anymore.  i only went today cause it was one of their birthdays though.  I hope i get to sleep tonight since i havent slept much in the past 2 days cause of arisu.  Last night she threwup a little (better than the night before she threwup multiple times and a LOT each time), and she needed to go potty like 3 times.  I’m hoping that upping her puppy food back to a higher level will help her adjust more easily.  I also hope shes doing okay today and will be okay tonight so that i can sleep.  at least tomorrow i dont have to be here till 10 am so i have a little time in the morning to spend with her and make sure shes okay.  Tomorrow i am finalllleeeee getting my organic stuff back from my friends.

i know im really ‘annoyed’ sometimes by others using my books cause they always mess them up.  but i guess sometimes i just cant help but to say yes cause they always help me out too with things in class.  for the most part i have only been lending books that were already in a not so great shape or books that i dont care too much about.   since the first week i have been getting endless text messages about old exams and text books.  i’m not gonna lie i benefit quite a bit from being in this ‘network’ of sharing with my friends, but sometimes i’m a bit overwhelmed with everyone asking me for stuff all at once.  Okay well i’m going to read and then hopefully get out of here soon so i can go buy arisu’s food and get some sleep.  maybe if i go to sleep early,  i will get to sleep some before she wakes up with a tummy ache =(

well, lately my laptop has been … ‘progressing’ with its ‘disease’.  i have no idea when or if my laptop will turn on or off.  It also lies to me about the battery percentage and dies when it gets close to 100%.  i really wnt to fix it but frankie already told me hed get me a new computer so im thinking ill just wait for that, and fix the laptop later when i have a little more money or by then i can get a new one.  i just need something that will stay on at this point because i cant get anything done when its dying every 5 minutes or i have to keep one hand on the power cord to plug it in over and over again.

anyways its almost end of january but i have made four HUGE goals for this year, in hopes that i can make them all.  however, itll take a lot of effort and work to get them all completed.  so hopefully i will have some drive to get things done this time and not just forget about it or not wanna do it anymore (which is ‘code phrase’ for being a ‘quitter’).

well i guess i will make this a short post and go get ready for tomorrow. gotta get up early and i might have to wake up in the middle of the night again for arisu.  im currently switching her to adult food and i guess i did a step too fast, she threw up a lot last night and went to potty outside almost every two hours 3, 5, and 7 AM.  so im extremely tired from being up all day without that sleep.  she was doing much better throughout the day though so im sure shes fine but i will switch the foods more slowly ( i started at 75% puppy, 25% new adult food) with 10% new adult food and 90% old puppy food.  i gotta go to petsmart to get the food though tomorrow since for some crazy reason they had like…NOTHING inthe store today.  ahh well okay i am going to go now.

well arisu has a small ear infection developing so i got some ear drops for her today that should clear it up.  only problem is her ear is hurting and so when the bottle touches her she jumps away and tries to get away.  so now i gotta hold her and put the drops in for the next 10 days.  besides that we saw a big big golden retriever and small furry white shih tzu looking dog outside today during our walk.  they were in our yard and the big one kept following me.  after i got inside it sounded like someone was knockingon the door or rattling the doorknob.  well it was the big dog, i guess he was trying to get inside.  i opened the door to see if he was still there and he was just like hanging out in front of my door waiting.  so yeah then later he saw my neighbor walk by and followed him instead lol.  i doubt they are really ’stray’ dogs because they were both really clean and the small one obvoiusly had a haircut recently.  but neither of them had tags and i see them occasionally on this block.

anyways, 3 exams coming up! gotta study =)

Well it all started last friday, Oct 26, 2007. lol. i woke up and i was thinking ‘why hasnt he called me to wake me up’ then i call him and he told me hes at the post office sending me my kswiss shoes he bought for me. so i go downstairs and like did the laundry and stuff. a little bit later i turned on the computer and then my doorbell rang. i look outside and i recognize gordon’s car but i guess i was still sleepy and didnt think it was weird that hed randomly show up at my house friday morning. i sort of had a feeling that him and chau or somethingn was there and they were gonna mess with me or something. i went down and gordon said he was stopping by to give me my kswiss shoes. now…for some reason i made no connection as to why the hell hed have my shoes that frankie had with him in maryland just the night before.

i even took them and brought them in and just started to talk to gordon about what the hell he was doing on this side of town. then frank walked in! =) yeah i was suprised and really confused then finally i realized he came here and then gordon picked him up and drove him!

so yeah he surprise visited me. then we hung out at my house for a while and he gave me my shoes and bought me this watch and did some random talking and various stuff. i took a shower and then all three of us went to cheesecake factory to each lunch.

Afterwards we went back home and then went to the gym for a bit and were gonna work out but then yeah, plans sorta fell through since maggie didnt come and gordon ended up being hella late. So then we went home. Arisu was really happy to see frankie again!

and then she wasn’t so happy for some reason that we didn’t know…

but then later she went back to being happy. lol. saturday and sunday we mostly did nothing and just bummed around and watched tv and movies. sunday was our monthly anniversary day so we went out to eat at saltgrass and had some putt putt golfing. frankie had a hotel room booked (since, planning to stay with me would sort of give the surprise away). so we went there mostly to get alone time since my familiy is always home and all crazyhere. mostly we just went there to snack and watch tv and be retarded. well, i was being retarded at least. lol. monday i went to my classes but they were really short and i just picked up my exam. tuesday i went to class and then we went to eat lunch together with gordon and chau. wednesday i studied all day since i had my exam on thrsday. we went to meet up with chau and dai at the tapioca house place and sat there for a few hours. frankie got a psp too and was playing it and showing them. we mostly talked about school and whatever. afterwards i went home and on the way home frankie bought me a double shot and i drank it all. then i stayed up until like almost 5 am and studied for my human genetics test lol. while i was studying him and arisu were both snoring behind me.

i missed my biochem last on thursday. i’m not sure whats gonna happen since i missed it. but he emailed the class the results so i will just write up the report anyways and ill probably just get some points taken off. then at 11 ish i met up with dai and then we took our test at 11:30. i got out at like almost 1, it took a lot longer than i thought it would but then i guess the questions were a bit challenging. however, i feel MUCH more confident about it than the last test because i studied so much more. i knew a lot of the questions for sure at least. oh and i got my plant anatomy exam grade and i more than double my score since the first exam (yes, there was THAT much room for improvement). so i’m happy about that even though its not quite 100% yet. i did real bad on my immunology exam though so i guess i still have a lot of work to do over all. oh after my exam then we went home. and then we went to shoot some pool for liek an hour or so. no wait..we went to shoot pool on tuesday not thursday, lol. thursday after the test we just went home and then we were gonna go to the movies but then my mom called me home to take care of arisu since the baby was sick.

so then we went to block buster and rented two really weird and pointless movies. one was ‘rise’ with lucy lui which is a movie for her to use as an excuse to get naked in and thats all. the movie is hard to follow in the beginnign and i honestly have no idea what the hell happened. all iknow is she was showing full or half nudity every other scene so i’m guessing that was the point of the movie. then we got this jacky chan movie ‘the myth’. which was better and at least made some sort of sense. but it was almost no real action, bad fight scenes and weirdo doesnt make sense story line. it seemed like they made it in a rush or something.

finally friday came and frankie had to go home =( he bought me some flowers though and we went to the store to buy a polishing cloth for our watches. he ended up buying a movie and a game for his psp to play on the way home on the plane. then we went to IAH and got there a couple of hours early so we went to the deerbrook mall in humble. i’ve never been there before and its a reallllly nice mall inside and really big! so we went inside and walked around and ate some ice cream. then i finally had to drop him off at the air port nearby =( it made m e really sad on the drive home cause everything went by so fast and its kind of weird that everything’s ‘back to normal’ already again. i cant wait till he can finally move down here!



well so that was frankie’’s surprise visit to me for a week. it was a lot of fun but now my schedule is all crazied up so i have a lot of catching up to do. at least he planned to come when there were originally not test scheduled since the week before this past one, i had 3 tests so that wouldve been bad.

well i studied my little ass off for the plant anatomy exam that i took today and it turned out okay.  i did a lot better than last exam with no thanks to the 50 dollar packet of trusty notes that we had to buy for the course.  It was more thanks to my old biology book that i kept despite having my parents glare at it every other day telling me to sell it back for cash.  thankfully i didnt because it covered the material in a more organized and clear way than the stupid class notes!  i was confused as hell to begin with, one chapter in that book cleared everything up.  so yeah i’m glad i found my bio book and decided to take it out for a review.   another thing that surprised me is that most of the material in the course is not ‘that much’ more detailed than in the general biology book.  so how the hell did someone come up with the idea to make an entire class on just plants?!  *sigh*

well i just wanted to vent a little bit before i go off to study for my immunology exam that is in 4 hours!  tomorrow is arisu’s birthday by the way, yesterday i bought her a little bed pillow =)  she seems to like it but i put it into the washer with her other blankets and towels to make it smell more like her own stuff for tomorrow.  okay, more later
