Rogue Idea

Well yesterday morning I finally went to get my hair cut, I hadn’t cut it since like September so it had been way too long (time and hair).  I got about 5-6 inches cut off and it’s just right on my shoulders right now and I like it cause my head feels lighter without all that hair.  It is a little bit weird though since now in the shower I’m washing my hair and I keep thinking theres more but it just ends so fast. I went to this place and I had an appointment at 10:30, I didn’t even get my hair cut until 11:15.  What the fuck is that about.  I’m guessing that the people before me came on stupid “asian time” (which means 15-30 minutes LATE) and that put everything backed up.  So I was pretty annoyed that I had to wait 45 minutes for a haircut after making an appointment.  Then by the time I was done it was almost noon so I met gordon at tan tan to eat a little before i went home.

After getting home I took a nap then my mom said she wanted to go to this crawfish festival thing.  So we all went with her and we stayed there for about like 2 hours.  The crawfish was a pretty good size and it was okay tasting, i had to dip it into some sauce though to help the taste, the downside is that the sauce was insanely spicy.  After that it was like past 10 already, we went home then back out and watched the Forbidden Kingdom at the AMC.

I think I will be specifically trying to avoid that theater from now on.  It’s mostly mexicans in there and they make all this noise and act retarded (well….i don’t know for sure if its really ‘acting’ retarded or not…).  It was pretty annoying at some parts of the movie.  Then also for the first ten minutes some bastard in the front kept looking as their cell phone and so there was a little white square of light in the view cause it was all dark except for the screen and the damn cell phone.  Also the movie theater had no more butter.  NO BUTTER FOR THE POPCORN.  So I tried to finish the popcorn anyways since my dad already bought it for me, but i ate a good more than half of it before it was pretty sickening.

The movie was ‘okay’.  It wasn’t great and it wasn’t like totally horrible.  I think the thing that didn’t make it good for me was the story line.  It was just not a really good story line and the explanation was really shallow.  The main character is also this guy that i recognize off a disney movie that i’ve seen before.  I’m pretty sure its the same guy, hes this white teenager and he looks..well he looks like a loser.  It sort of fits in with him playing as a guy being bullied at the beginning, but I didn’t believe that he would accomplish what he did in the rest of the movie, he was too scrawny looking.

I think jackie chan and jet li should’ve had more hardcore fight scenes.  It would’ve been better too if the bad guys were much more powerful than they already were.  I also think they tried not to establish one person was better than the other, but I think it would’ve been cooler if one of them ‘won’ the fight they had together.

They tried to fit in a small small small slightly romantic line between the ’sparrow’ girl and the white guy, but i don’t think it worked at all.  it all seemed to be coming from the guy’s side.  It was also supposed to be an ‘action comedy’.  But because of the story line the humor wasn’t really all that good and was pretty slapstick.

After the movie we finally got home past 1 am.  I am starving now because I only had a little bit of crawfish and popcorn last night.
