Hiring Customer Service for New Businesses
Well after talking to Viv about her new business I was searching for resources online for her to get a website and set everything up. She’s debating whether or not to hire an answering service company to take some customer calls since she’s pretty much a one person company right now. Anyways I looked around found an answering service, MAP Communications that looks to be pretty good. They do everything from phones or online chat and emails for your website and you can even get a free trial for a week with them to try it out first and you can give a customized script to them. Even though I think for a small business hiring answering services is a big overkill, I showed her the link to the website anyways to give her some ideas on what type of stuff is available and so she can get a quote later on if she wants to. Their business is in VA and its pretty much a all in one phone/message type of service. They can take care of stuff like getting you a toll free number too to advertise which would be good for her since she doesn’t have an office yet and probably doesn’t want to give out her phone number.
