Rogue Idea

just updated wordpress.  I’m glad i got the little one click install on dreamhost so i can just tell it to upgrade and let it be done with.  lately i’ve been sitting around playing emperor all because frankie got me that game =(  i still need to do lots of things around here before school starts but i guess sleeping in till noon and then playing games all day and watching dog whisperer is not helping much at all.  anyways i guess i better go be productive now =)

Well I can’t believe its already Sunday but 2 days ago I had been planning to watch UH play TCU on tv because I heard it would be on tv. Little did I know it was not going to be on a local channel but on the NFL channel which somehow is only available on something like direct satellite tv and not on cable. Of course a quick search online talked about how this happened and how people were pretty mad about it. The directv satellite service they offer with the sports package is $99.99 a month but it pretty much has any channel that I’ve ever heard of and includes a ton of sports channels that I don’t have on my cable right now. Also when you sign up you get some better channels free for a few months and like 10 dollars off your first 12 months which sounds good but this still amounts to over my cable bill so I doubt my parents would go for it. I think the people that lived here before me had direct tv because we have a little satellite dish outside in the back but we’ve never used it since we don’t have satellite service.  Anyways I hope my team gets better so that I don’t have to resort to changing my services around here just to see them on tv.  If they played bigger games then they’d finally be aired on regular channels!

ah so today i get an email from UH saying to check my account cause the amount i owe them for next semester is calculated and posted.  thankfully, my financial aid covered ALL of it and actually its a little bit more!!!  soooo this means i dont have to pay any money out of my pocket (for tuition, books is a whole other story lol).  anyways so im very happy about this because as we all know, a person who hasnt worked for over 2 years is broke lol.

so christmas is already here and we have finally finished our shopping for gifts today.  just got a few more to wrap and then we’ll be done.  arisu went under the tree and tried to eat a gift card this morning but thankfully i got it back from her before she ruined it. lol.  well i will be working on studying for mcat and my very old unfinished website project while im on break before the new semester.  and it feels GOOD to know that i dont have to worry about how the hell im going to pay for it!

so i’ve been sitting here for ten minutes and for ten minutes this stupid ass corvette has been outside making a shit load of noise.  i dont know what you call it but its where the person just stays there and like pressing on the pedal and it makes all this damned noise.  its like…what the fuck are you trying to do?!!!  SHUT THE FUCK UP!  what is the point of making your car noisy anyways? maybe its just me but i find it incredibly STUPID looking when your car is making all this shit load of noise and youre just sitting there.  some people even make their cars so loud to where its making a shit load of noise going 20mph.  HOW in the world does that look cool??

well school is finally over.  these past few days i’ve basically just been going out and sitting around at home.  now that its gotten really cold though i doubt ill be going out again any time soon.  well thursday after my final i went home and moved the giant shelf upstairs to downstairs to my mom’s room. we got her a new tv  last week, i wanted to get her a flat panel but yeah its too expensive so i got her a regular one for now lol.  of course if i can afford it ill get her another one that can be mounted on the wall. but this one was nice though and its a flat screen 27″ so its huge.  anyways so i had to clean up the shelf and get all the movies and dvds out to move it. good thing gordon was there and he came up with the idea to slide it down the stairs onthe back or else i dont think we couldve carried it.  then we had to push the tv in the box to the room.  and then gordon lifted it and put it on top and i hooked up the dvd player and stuff.  afterwards we went to shop for a little bit around the mall and igot gifts for linda and my dad before we went out to eat.  friday was really long cause then we went to eat lunch and then we went to the galleria and linda spent like 3 hours there walking around.

well yesterday i moved one of our bookshelves over next to the tv since there was a big hole there, lol.  today hopefully i can put up the shelves on the walls to have some more space to put things on.   and last night i finally put something on the front of frankandyvette.net so it doesnt just say ’site under construction.  even though its only the one front page now i think its still good since email is really the only thing we use in there anyways right now so i made a little login on the front and tahts all.  i want to center it vertically though but it wouldnt work with IE so i moved it back up in firefox for right now until i can figure something out.  i just updated my amazon wish list yesterday too, its getting longer and longer lol.  okay well thats all for now hopefully i can get some stuff done today.  it feels good doing stuff i feel like doing and without any time constraints! =)

well arisu has a small ear infection developing so i got some ear drops for her today that should clear it up.  only problem is her ear is hurting and so when the bottle touches her she jumps away and tries to get away.  so now i gotta hold her and put the drops in for the next 10 days.  besides that we saw a big big golden retriever and small furry white shih tzu looking dog outside today during our walk.  they were in our yard and the big one kept following me.  after i got inside it sounded like someone was knockingon the door or rattling the doorknob.  well it was the big dog, i guess he was trying to get inside.  i opened the door to see if he was still there and he was just like hanging out in front of my door waiting.  so yeah then later he saw my neighbor walk by and followed him instead lol.  i doubt they are really ’stray’ dogs because they were both really clean and the small one obvoiusly had a haircut recently.  but neither of them had tags and i see them occasionally on this block.

anyways, 3 exams coming up! gotta study =)

well i have a lot of reading and studying to do this weekend for my exams next week.  but im really glad that my laptop is working so well now and so fast!  before it was so cluttered up, i didnt even know what was wrong or what i could do lol.  anyways now its working great and seems much cleaner feeling.  too badi still have that battery problem though.  it uses the battery even though the adapter is plugged in.  and it uses the battery FAST!   like itll charge so slowly but when its using battery it only takes like 5 minutes to drain 10 % of the battery even if im not even doing anything.

i was going to take pictures of arisu and the christmas tree today but then she doesnt like it much right now.  for some reason she was fine with it last night and this morning she went downstairs to bark at it.  so i will try again tomorrow so i can have some pics of her and the tree.

well, i guess ill go read now =)

okay yeah i just posted like 3 entries back to back within like 2 seconds.  but these other two were supposed to be posted like a month ago now. lol.  i guess i thought i posted them but they were saved as drafts instead.  oh well.

Well thanksgiving week is coming up and that means i have a few days of break! so i’m very excited about that. Besides that this past week was my last biochemistry lab. i wont be doing anymore labs for at least the next 8 months, probably more! This is great because i realllllly hated that lab and i normally already don’t like labs in general. I still do need to turn in two lab reports and take the final exam but i’d much rather do those than do more labs that arent going to work. I have a paper due on this coming tuesday so i wll be sort of busy this weekend with a lot of stuff going on. However, it’s almost the end and i’m really happy cause i could use a break.

So yesterday i was supposeddddd to clean the house up and also clean baby arisu up but then change of plans since gordon wanted to go to the mall. first he called to see if i was at school and i wasnt so then he came to my house and i had to get ready before going. then we went to the mall and spent FOUR hours looking for sunglasses for him. first we went to sunglass hut since he said he wanted sunglasses. well turns out he didnt want to spend that much on them. so then we went into dilliards and found some under his budget but we also wanted to see macy’s too. but on the way there we stopped by the food court and ate lunch so that took about an hour. then on the way to macy’s we went into some random stores to look around. but then ended up going back to dilliards to buy the sunglasses. i want to buy some too but of course i can’t wear them over my glasses, lol. i was thinking of getting laser eye surgery butttttt…im a scaredy cat! i might order some sunglasses though anyways (prescription) since they can make those.

oh so after that we went to dsw to look around and visit shannon. then we went back to my house and did whatever for a while. i made a little marquee script for him to use last night for this temple/charity thing but i dont know if he used it, oh well it only took like 5 minutes lol. after he left and i was online printing out stuff and doing various things online while waiting for frankie to finish his work.

but now today i gotta clean up around here and do a lot of things since i got nothing done yesterday except a little bit of reading last night. so right whenever i thought that i was dead broke i got some money into my bank account to save me yesterday! ( i love it when that happens, which it always does). it was from that fusioncash site that i wrote about on my other blog before. and by the way i’ve gotten a few more referrals somehow through there too, lol. i totally forgot about it and so i was surprised. i’m wondering what i should get everyone for christmas already since thanksgiving is coming up. i know that sounds weird but all the best sales are right after thanksgiving so yeah i gotta think ahead of time and plan if i want to get some good deals on stuff.

well i just had my thanksgiving break. i remember in high school we get the whole week off. its not really break now since the 1st day of break is already wednesday so half the week has gone by. then i don thave school on friday anyways so yeah its more like a 2 day thing for me. and now its friday again and i’ve got to write two papers before monday. actually im planning on finishing them both today so i can study tomorrow and sunday for upcoming tests.

yesterday was LONG. first on wednesday i cleaned the whole place up for guests coming yesterday. then yesterday i woke up real late (been waking up late lately =( ) and i had to go to my aunt’s house to pick up some stuff. after that i came home and people started coming at like 2 so yeah after that i was just like busy doing whatever with my cousins and stuff. surprisingly the huge turkey we had was gone ! theres only a few little pieces left by the end of the night. im actually really glad though because i hate to eat a bunch of left overs after a thing like this. well…okay i guess im not all that surprised since there were well over 20 adults here . but the turkey was bigggg!! and we also had like sweet potatos cooked as yams (had an argument with my mom about this - yams are NOT the same as sweet potatoes!), and some turkey stuffing and ummm..some other stuff. i dont remember i just ate a little bit of everything.

then of course everyone sat down and went through all the sales and ads from the newspaper. i saw a couple of things i wouldve liked to go out and get but as we all know, im dead broke so i will not be splurging this year during christmas! =( i wish i had money to spend but yeah..i dont. so until i get that problem fixed i will just try to not think about getting stuff this year, at least i will definitely not buy anything for myself. i still gotta think of something for my family though and a few friends.
