Rogue Idea

well i studied my little ass off for the plant anatomy exam that i took today and it turned out okay.  i did a lot better than last exam with no thanks to the 50 dollar packet of trusty notes that we had to buy for the course.  It was more thanks to my old biology book that i kept despite having my parents glare at it every other day telling me to sell it back for cash.  thankfully i didnt because it covered the material in a more organized and clear way than the stupid class notes!  i was confused as hell to begin with, one chapter in that book cleared everything up.  so yeah i’m glad i found my bio book and decided to take it out for a review.   another thing that surprised me is that most of the material in the course is not ‘that much’ more detailed than in the general biology book.  so how the hell did someone come up with the idea to make an entire class on just plants?!  *sigh*

well i just wanted to vent a little bit before i go off to study for my immunology exam that is in 4 hours!  tomorrow is arisu’s birthday by the way, yesterday i bought her a little bed pillow =)  she seems to like it but i put it into the washer with her other blankets and towels to make it smell more like her own stuff for tomorrow.  okay, more later

okay first i havent really been online much to do a bunch of stuff. mostly i just turn on the computer and then walk away and do other stuff now. so i havent been working on my poor blog =( but hopefully i’ll find some time to work on it more later. anyhow, i did get my deposit from linkworth though so i had some extra money to spend on paying credit cards down this month ! yay!

okay secondly yesterday i was SO tired. lets just say that lately i’ve been like sleepy all the time and its getting on my nerves. its like no matter what i do i cant stay awake, im just …sleepy. not physically tired but i guess my brain is tired or something so it wants to go to sleep. needless to say, i’ve been much less productive because of this. SO, i am trying to get back into a habit of waking up no later than 6:30 am again. I mean now I wake up between 7 and 8, so its not much difference. but either way, most nights i get knocked or really sleepy by around 10 pm, or sometimes even earlier! so if i sleep till 8, thats like 10 hours of sleep and thats too much time wasted! ah like today i’m going to try really hard not to nap lol.

yesterday i finally met up with trang again for mcat stuff too.  we made a more structured study plan/schedule for mcat stuff so that should help us keep and try to stay on track.  we spent most of our time deciding what we wanted to do, then another few hours studying.  i was almost falling asleep so thankfully she decided to ask me some questions to quiz me. okay i have a headache so im getting off the comp for a bit

well recently i put IE7 onto the desktop computer because sme of the school websites only work on ie. anyways yesterrday i tried to scan a document to send to my lab partners and nothing worked i couldnt even open HP Director, which is the software that runs and helps you do stuff with the printer/scanner machine. i was pretty annoyed, i was going to uninstall and then reinstall but then i couldnt find the cd for it. thankfully, i talked to chau this morning and she suggested to look it up online to redownload and through that i found this : Can’t open hp director page.  in there the first real solution was that IE 7 was causing it.  i realized i recently installed that and before i had scanned stuff fine. so then i uninstalled it and restarted the comp and it works now !  ahhh so i just wanted to share that story.  cause it makes me happy that i can scan my stuff now. lol

Well this week my Immunology class was canceled so yay!  i had a break from staying late at night on monday and wednesday or else id be there right now waiting for class to start.  So today i woke up early and had to bring little arisu to get her hair cut =)  i didn’t cut it short this time, i just get it trimmed a little bit so it can grow out for the winter.  well, thats all i wanted to say cause im tired of being on the computer right now.  more later

well here i am at school library computer waiting for biochem lab to start.  45 minutes till it does.  I am so tired of that class.  We have a graduate student for a TA (just like most lab courses, they are taught by graduate students) but mine is a new one and i dont think he really knows whats going on.  add that to the fact that apparently even the coordinator for the biochemistry labs is sort of new too so i really dont know if it will get better this semester or in like 2 years when im already gone.  i guess he thought being a TA would just be following directions and then getting us to follow other directions.  Well, not really the case when we do experiments and things dont work out as planned.  Almost none of our lab experiments have worked so far and every single time hes gotta run down to the office to see if the coordinator is there to see what to do.   either that or he says he’ll just email us about it.  sorry but i dont just sit around online and wait for email to come in all day.  he also sometimes emails us at night around 7-9 pm.  sure thats enough time to get things done still, IF you have nothing else to do all night.  hopefully today will turn out good and i wont have to be all pissed off and frustrated when i leave.  i’m reallllly glad this is my last lab course for my undergraduate studies because i hate all labs and i especially hate this one!

yesterday i studied for like 3 hours.  my brain was so tired of reading so i finally had to take a break and stop for the rest of the night at around 3:45 or so.  I guess i gotta make a more structured schedule so that i dont just have like 5 hour blocks to study since i cant even stand reading that long. well i can, but people always say youre not supposed to study for more than like 2 hours at a time, then you gotta have a break.  So yeah i think i might put in some breaks with my study times so that i’m not just there huge hour blocks.  later today i will be studying again and then going to the gym with maggie to run.  hopefully i can even last that long because my back pack is so heavy today since i brought my laptop!

arisu’s birthday is coming !!!!!!!  yes, arisu is turning 1 years old this month and i am searching for some gifts to get her =).  I cant spend too much though since i dont want to have nothing to give her for christmas later.  everyone is saying ‘just get her a bone’. well shes already got like almost every different type of bone available at petsmart, walmart, target, and even a few online stores.  i’m thinking of getting her a comfy bed thing to put either in the gameroom or my room.  i might get two so i can put one in each room for her.  also i wanted to get her hamster in a ball thing but i forgot the link to it so i’ll have to find it again.

well i have a lot more time left right now so i guess i’ll talk about google.  cause thats what everyone else does when theyre bored online and have a blog.  first of all since i started trying to make money online and looking at different ways to i’ve been hearing a lottttt about google.  much more than i care to know about.  so apparently a lot of different places use google’s “Page Rank” to determine a websites worth or whatever. i’m not going to explain it here because its explained on every other website on the internet already except maybe adult sites.  let’s just say that the bottom line is i’m so tired of every source i go to so i can read or learn about making money has to talk about google or complain about google or …. talk about google!  and i could really care less about google because google is going to fall apart and will not last!  Yes, that is my prediction for google!  i dont know when though, but probably not too far off in the future.

so its not that i mind ‘informational’ talks about search engines or internet stuff.  but it gets really annoying when i see people try to blame google for things that are happening to their ‘online earnings’.  please give me a break.  people are out there saying that if they lose PR or if google takes them off the listings for having paid links, theyre going to lose income and its gonna be a lawsuit and this and that and bullshit.  well…thats just fucking ridiculous.  i mean its like if a hotel made money from having rooms with awesome views of my beach and then one day i covered it and they tried to sue me because they were making money off it!  sorry but google never promised you anything and its not their fault if you lose money.  its funny how they think that google has to ‘report’ their doings to the public too.  like this whole pr update thing, theyll do it when they want to!  and they can just erase everything completely if they wanted to!  the bottom line is, theyll do whatever it takes to make more money.  cause thats what being a business is about, its about making money.  and if them making money is going to cause you to not make money then theyre gonna do it cause they dont care about your little website.   they can ‘act’ like they care, but if they do, it will only be because they think itll help them make more money somehow.  i wish i could just make people stop thinking that google owes them an explanation because they dont and its really annoying when i see people complaining about crap like this and saying stuff that doesnt even freakin make sense.  and the crazy thing is this allllll came about because of SHORTCUTS!!  just another reason why i’m glad i learned to stop looking for damn short cuts all the time and just get the shit done right (whole other long story, lol).  anyways so the ‘traditional’ idea , or from what i think of it as, was to make a website and sell advertising space on it.  in order to sell advertising space you gotta have a lot of ‘exposure’ so itll be worth something to buy advertising space on your website.  and in order to have lots of exposure you would make a really good website and then hope a lot of people find it and remember it. well, then came google.  and google was like this  blob and it was like ‘you need links’.  and that will be the end of the story for now because i have to go to lab and write my pre lab real quick now.

Well first this morning i went to the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure thing. It was a loooonnnggg morning. First of all we had to get there before 6 a.m. So we planned to meet at 5:45 at the school and carpool. Somehow i ended up setting my alarm for 4:30 PM instead of AM. So yeah, i woke up at 5:30 and was like oh shit. so i hauled ass, and i got the correct exit at 6 am, not bad considering it normally takes me at least 40 minutes to get to that point. But of course, i didnt KNOW it was the correct exit, so then i had to detour downtown and come all the way back around and finally arrived and got into the parking garage a little after 6, probably 6:20. After that we just sat there and talked in our cars till a little after 7:30. We werent signed up to help until 8:30, but you had to get there before 6 to get into the parking garage and before the streets close. By the time i got there a little after six they started going around and closing off streets already. So yeah then we walked very very far and for what seemed like a very very long time to the volunteer check in area.

Turns out they had a lot of people helping at the kids choral already and they wanted us to go down the course and be a ‘course captain’, basically just people to sort of line out the areas where its close to traffic so that people will go the right away instaed of straight and off the course. So we went there. We were ‘going’ there for a long time and i mean it was a mile and a half of walking to get there, and that corner that we were at wasnt even half way of the race yet, the whole thing is a little over 3 miles. So yeah since it took us like half an hour to walk there (while being lightly rained on), we stood there till almost 10 and then the race was over. Well it was over, but all the people finally past our point. Then we started to walk ALL the way back! It seemed like a long walk but i’m glad i’ve been going to the gym and working on my endurance because it helped a lot. It did not seem all that bad to me at all so that was good. Afterwards we went to eat pho at some restaurant place and then i headed back home. I knew i wouldnt make it back to the school by 11 so i canceled my study date with trang for mcat =(. I’m thinking of calling her to see if she wants to tomorrow but…i’ll wait and see how i feel.

Besides, after being rained on a little this morning and yelling quite a bit I thikn my throat has regressed back to its sick state. This past weekend my voice was pretty bad and i thought i was getting sick. Now I think I’m sick. It got better this past week for like 2-3 days but I think its back to square one now. Hopefully it’ll go away by monday so I dont have to sound like im stoned anymore.

Well before I said I was going to set up another website that was more of a ‘website’ than a ‘blog’. but you know what…i think ill just work on my blog, lol. Too much stuff piling up and too many ideas floating around so i’ve decided to just stick with one thing at a time and take care of whats going on. So it took me i think almost 3 month to get my first 100 dollars. obviously i want things to move much quicker than that, so I will tryyyyyy really hard to keep posting to the site and keep it active and updated so people will want to come back or save the site or something. Also I don’t know if i’ve said this here yet or not but I think ill just focus on the ‘make money online’ topic because that seems to be what tag people are clicking on the most. So now that i have a topic I think it will help me a lot on deciding other stuff and what to write about or some sort of direction at least.

what else. oh yeah i’ve decided that I’m going to try my best to (besides monday and wednesday) get all my ’school work’ done before 5 pm. Now this is going to be a little bit tough but I think I can do it. I might have to extend it down to 6 pm if things dont work out as smoothly. The reason why i said except monday and wednesday is because those days i normally just study all day since my classes are so spread apart and my last class is 5:30 - 7:00 pm. So yeah I’m going to try really hard to do that and keep up with all my school work. I think if i give myself a ’school time’ i will be more productive then because then i dont have ‘all day’. So that’s the plan for that and i’ll start on monday. This weekend I’m going to try to get caught up in all my classes (which seems, like a pretty big task right now).

Recently I’ve been listening to some Mcat Audio Osmosis from exam krackers cds. Got them from trang last weekend.  only thing is when i tried to put it into my mp3 they didnt stay in their own folders.  so yeah…now its like lstening to mcat, then song, son, then mcat, then song, then mcat, mcat..and its all just mixed up lol.  I should probably go and fix it but i’m too lazy to organize it all lol.  the past few days people have been all around my house fixing things and replacing things and what not.  Hopefully they will be done by the end of this coming week because I am getting really tired of not going into my own backyard (to let arisu out).  I’m hoping they’ll be done soon.  Seems like they are almost done with the outside areas though, theres only the part behind the chimney and then one more garage door.  Thank god they’re replacing the garage door because the oldone had holes or broken bits at the bottom and little creatures were coming in at night like these weird bugs that i’ve never seen anywhere else before.  I’ve seen a few by my window.  and Arisu stepped on one last night during her walk and it freaked out and flew around in circles and kept hitting the light pole lol.  ALright well that’s all for now, wow this was a long entry!

i finally got over 100 dollars on adsense today!  very exciting because that means ill actually get a deposit from them sometime.  the only one thing is that i still have to ‘verify’ myself or something.  apparently they send you a special # now to your house and youre supposed to enter that # to prove that you’re you and you live where you said you live i guess.  The problem is, i didn’t get the stupid #.  i had to request to get a new one sent so hopefully it’ll come soon and so i can enter it online and get my money soon!

well today started my second round of tests and it started with my entrepeneurship class again. the test was pretty easy but i didn’t read one whole chapter so i missed a few questions about different partner types and business models. other than that i think i did okay though still.  i also got my test scores back for the rest of my tests this week and i guess i’m doing okay but not as good as i want of course.  so I will have to spend more time refining my studies!  well that’s all i wanted to say for now =)
