Rogue Idea

ugh im very sick.  i tried to pretend like i ‘might’ be getting sick for hte past couple days now.  but now…i have to admit i am.  my throat has been hurting like crazy for days.  now i cant get rid of this headache and my head is throbbing and i just slept for a long time wrapped in a blanket like its cold when its hot in the house.  and yet somehow i crawl out of my bed and to my laptop to type this – im addicted to my laptop!  yesterday i went to the gym after studying with trang and we played badminton for like almost an hour.  then she left and i got on the elliptical for another full hour.  at that time my voice was going insane but i just ignored it.  i’m planning to go tomorrow to the gym again – of course assuming i’m not passed out by then.  hopefully i’ll feel good enough to go but i dont think im going to push myself tomorrow if i still feel like this tomorrow morning.

last night i was starting to cough a bit and threw up a little bit afterward.  i just took some tylenol cause its the only thing we have here now.  hopefully itll help the headache go away at least.  i’m pretty sure i was on the ‘edge’ of getting sick and then when i got rained on earlier that pretty much did it for me.  before that i was already groggy but i put together my little sister’s desk and that drained up a little energy from me i guess but not too much.  i think just cause my throat was already  hurting and it was all dusty opening that box up from the mail. somehow i carried that giant piece of thing up the stairs and into her room. i thought i might collapse just get stuck but nope i made it up here.

anyways about the comment spam. i normally dont get much that gets through the spam filter.  but for some reason the bots like to spam comments onto my ‘finally posting pics of my baby’ post.  maybe cause its old and i might not see it?  i dont know.  other than that, not much else to say.  i think i got my layout finished for my other blog but i dont know.  seems a little plain but then again – i never claimed to be a super designer so oh well.  oh yeah anddddd  i’m LESS than 10 dollars away from getting the 100 mark on google adsense!

well i just learned that cougars lost by 2 points  we couldve gained our win TWICE but apparently we have a kicker that cannot kick and missed two field goals in a row!  i’m pretty pissed that this could happen.  its like…how could you miss two field goals in a row?  AND it was wide first on the left side, then it was wide on the right side – kick it in the middle for god’s sake!  good thing i didnt go tonight or else id just be even more pissed =(

Well I had to stop by the restaurant today to pick up my sister and they had just gotten some new equipment. Having had family in charge of convenient stores and restaurants I’ve been in those walk-in coolers a bunch of times and its pretty neat. Anyways we pretty much have lot commercial refrigeration equipment laying around cause of all the ones they’ve gone through. You can see a whole bunch of different ones from that link up there. We have the ones that are flat out and one thats a stand up. It looks mostly like the “true chef bases” on the website. These things are pretty expensive they’re about a few thousand dollars each and plus I have no idea how they’d ship it. They also have these commercial ice machines which we have one of that’s pretty big. The good thing about those commercial ice machines is that they always make really good ice. I know it sounds funny but their ice doesn’t melt as fast as the ice that comes out of a regular refrigerator at home. They always last way longer. Overall though the online ordering does offer a good comparison of pricing and plus they have a better selection. Normally the places that sell restaurant equipment around here don’t have a lot of different models especially for the bigger equipment like ice machines and freezers.

yup!  today is my monthly anniversary with frankie.  he already sent me these flowers before and also another little gift came yesterday.

well last night i had a pretty scary/messed up dream.  I can’t remember much of the details now but it all started off with someone dying.  well.. being murdered.  it all seemed to make sense during hte dream but of course now that i think about it i dont know if it was ‘because’ of me, or if i was the one who killed him?   I don’t know who it was either.  Anyways so this guy is murdered and the group who killed him will pass the body on to a group who gets rid of bodies.  for some reason, they had to trick this other group by bringing two body bags and then switching the bodies in the bags?  and for some other strange reason..they did this in a very busy and public place.  everyone was ther and i was too.  so i saw the group bring the two body bags and they dropped them off at two tables of two other groups.  now they had to switch the bodies and so i guess they put something in the drinks and i remember drinking and everyone was slowly passing out but i was wide awake and pretended to pass out lol.  anyways, somehow they needed one more bag, and the guy came over to me and took my bag and it was a big gym bag.

then he dumped all th stuff out back into my backpack but there was too many books and somehow he ended up putting two extra books that werent mine in there.  then he left with my bag.  later everyone was leaving and there was a lot of crazy chaos.  i went to return these books (they were library books) but when i got to the counter i decided i didnt know if these other books were stolen or not so i wasn’t goign to return them.  i went back to my seat and my backpack and stuff was gone but then i found my friend who had taken it and kept it for me.  now this makes no sense cause that friend is one who lives in fl right now and just had a baby so why the hell would she be there, lol.  anyways after that i left and somehow now i’m trying to hide from all those people.  i dont know why, but i couldnt let them catch me – maybe i was the murderer.

okay so …somehow i ended up at the beach going and i was with someone but i dont know who, just someone i trusted cause they were carrying my bag for me.  and there was a ‘UH students’ section at the beach along with other sections for other stuff.  i probably got this image from the tailgating thing i went to , lol.  anyways thats all i remember from that little beach scene.  then all the sudden i remember i was in a weird little place with people in individual rooms coming in and out of them but i didnt go inside to see what they were doing i just stayed out side.  and there was a really really tall palm tree next to me and i looked up and there was a bag.  i didnt open it (cause it was way up there) but i knew there was that body in there somehow.

well thats all i remember. i kept waking up feeling scared though cause i was trying to get away from those people the whole time or like ‘not get caught’.  anyways it was a weird dream.  i dont know what i’ll do today yet. i should probably work on my paper since its due tuesday =(

well over on my test blog i’ve been writing random posts and not really gettng far cause im not sure what to write about.  i finally decided i’ll just talk about how people can make money online since that seems to be where most people are clicking when they are on the blog.  So the first place that i’m reviewing/recommending has already gotten me like 50 bucks.  basically a place that acts as a huge affiliate to a bunch of places, then gets people to sign up and gives you a little bit of the affiliate money they got.  pretty easy , most don’t require a credit card.  some do but most of them are free. some of the ones require that you buy something though, so those i won’t do except for on that sells ink and you get 15 dollars tomake a purchase, but the ink is only 16 dollars. so id be buying ink for 1 dollar so thats pretty good.

okay besides that I will also be launching another site that will be my attempt at getting some sort of constant flow of income coming from online.  I will probably do that next week or so. before october though because i think i will still try to apply to work in the bio genetics lab next month so i can have a job.   im trying to by some sort of miracle get rid of a few more credit cards before christmas time.  hopefully i can make it!  so far i’ve made like 350 off linkworth though so thats going pretty well.  i will try to get more out of that but theres really not much i can do to increase it since you just put listings and then advertisers come and choose/contact you.  okay well, gotta get back to studying.

I can’t even begin to say how much my stomach has been hurting all morning. I decided to take a break from studying for a bit and found this barcode verification equipment online. Actually when I worked at the bookstore we had one of those barcode printers and they would print their own barcodes to cover the real ones. That way it covers the ISBN and people can’t write them down to order them online or go somewhere else to get the book. Pretty tricky, except they only used their barcodes on the used books and didn’t put them on the new ones. The other bookstore down the street put them on all of them though. They have a whole bunch of stuff on that site for barcode verification and it says 12 dollars for 2 day delivery so that’s pretty good cause I don’t even know how much it would normally cost to ship those machines. I think at the restaurant they wanted to get some sort of system in so they could just scan items on sheet and not have to type in the amounts but we couldn’t get our cash register to do it.

I can get a barcode verifier from this site and try to hook it up with the cash register but I don’t know what kind of software or what I’d need in the end and how much it would cost. They have all different brands there available too so it’s not just a brand thing, its a store that offers a lot of stuff. I would probably get one of those symbol handheld scanners. Or we could just get one of those touchscreen monitors and hook it up to the register I think that’d be even easier and better. Most of the different items had a data brochure available to download so I printed one off for my parents later to see if they’re interested in the idea at all.

YAY!  We won today and I had a great time at the game.  It started off not so great because we were at 3 vs 14 at first.  But then they got their shit together and sent the other team back home sorry!  We had two really awesome points because first we scored, then they fumbled and we got the ball and scored on them again.  It was awesome and now my voice is basically gone because I was yelling so much.  There was a lot of people there and I also got sun burned as you can see in the picture.  Looks almost like I’m wearing a white tank top.

So since it was my first game I guess it has been way too long since i’ve been to a game so I wasn’t ready with any sun block or anything at all.  Didn’t have cash and ended up having to wait in a long ass line for credit cards.  Didn’t bring a chair so we had to stand at the tailgate, didn’t have a cushion so my ass hurt from sitting on the bleacher seats.  *sigh*.  Next time I’ll try to be ready with all the stuff I need.   At first we were at 31 – 27 and I guess people thought that was enough.  I wanted another touchdown though and good thing we got another one cause it just keeps the momentum going.  We had 15 seconds left at the end to score on them but then they decided to just end the game instead. I would’ve went for another touch down as a goodbye gift but oh well.  Well I am tired now and I need to rest my voice for like 3 days now.  After I recover of course I’m goign to the game this coming weekend too just so I can yell my head off again.  Oh yeah and I got a hat so I’ll take a picture of it another time.

Well, I’m going out to my first college football game today so I’m pretty excited. I’m going early to help out with the tailgating stuff. Even though I have no idea what the hell tailgating means. Apparently people just…go and eat food together before the game. Whatever, I’m excited. Not only that – but when I joined Coogs Crew I was supposed to get a t-shirt but of course, they had no size smalls. Now they have them in and since I’ll be there early today I’ll finally get mine! This is awesome for me because I don’t have any red t-shirts besides an old choir shirt (thats not even mine, I wasn’t in choir) and a UH Bookstore T-shirt, which I don’t really count as a UH shirt since it says “YES – I CAN HELP YOU” really really freakin big on it. In fact I try to avoid wearing that shirt at all costs, lol.

A part of me is sort of telling me to stay home and study since I have my plant anatomy exam on Monday and honestly I haven’t done much for that class.  But I’ve been waiting to go to this game, so I’m planning to just go and then come back tonight and study and study all day tomorrow and Monday.  Of course immediately after that I have to start reviewing for my human genetics exam on Thursday then but oh well I am kind of used to this routine.  Yesterday I got my MCAT score and let’s just say its very bad.  Well..I guess not suicidal bad, but close.  I would consider it ‘failing’ even though you can’t “fail” the mcat.  I already knew it would be bad, I’m planning on retaking it but the problem now is that I’m not even really sure if I want to go into the medical field.  I mean most people who wanna do it are in it for the money or really wanna help people.  Now…it’s not that I hate helping people or anything,  but it just seems like going way overboard if you go through ALL that JUST to help people.  Of course I’m glad people do or else we’d have no doctors, but at the same time for someone like me who isn’t all about helping the world – well, it’s kind of not really a good deal on my end.  Then theres the money factor and basically I know that most people going into the health field are in it for the promise of finding a steady job with a good steady income.  This is good too because if only people who had a passion to help others went to be in the health field we’d all be screwed cause there wouldn’t be enough of them.  But at the same time, going through ALL that just to make money – even potentially a lot of money – seems a little crazy for me.  I’m not saying it’s not worth it I’m just saying there’s gotta be a better way to the money if you’re just in it for that reason.   So now I don’t really know what the hell to do with my life.  I feel so discouraged cause like everyone is sort of in the same situation with getting into med school right now.  By everyone I mean a lot of  people who I’ve met these past few years who said they wanted to go to med school or pharmacy school or whatever.

Okay well I gotta head out there now!!

My closet is pretty unbalanced right now. I pretty much have a bunch of nice pants, all tank tops, and only two pairs of tennis shoes. One is like 4 years old and is falling apart. I just don’t know what kind of shoes I’d need or what looks good though. Besides tennis shoes I pretty much have never had any other type of shoes. I’ve been trying to find some advice online but of course it doesn’t exist since everyone else already knows this info. Anyways I found this site that has these Rocket Dog Shoes that look pretty nice but I have never seen them in any store before. I guess it’s kind of hard to choose shoes online because I like to try them on to see what they really look like. My sister started to work at a shoe store though so I’m gonna go there and see what I can find and try to use her discount. They might have Rocket Dog shoes there too since they carry all sorts of brands.

I pretty much just want to buy some new tennis shoes though cause mine are tearing apart. Plus I would like to buy one or two pairs of different nicer shoes so that I don’t look like a freak wearing tennis shoes with nice pants that aren’t meant to be worn with tennis shoes. Besides the rocket dog shoes, that website also has other brands though. Brands I’ve never even heard about so yeah I guess I don’t know anything about fashion. I wish I could get someone to just tell me what would look good on me (honestly, of course) but I’m too poor to have a personal shopper, haha.

I’m going to my first college football game this saturday! i’m pretty darn excited cause i’ve never been before even though i liked going to games in high school.  after college started none of my friends wanted to go with me or were into going to sport events.  Sooo like i said before i joined that coogscrew thing and so i’ll be going to the game on saturday with gordon.  i’m pretty excited and of course i hope we win this saturday too.

Before that though, this weekend i gotta study cause i have two huge tests this coming week for plant anatomy and human genetics.  i went to human genetics today and it was boring as usual but my professor is so hunny he articulates the most random words.  then i had this weird girl sit next to me and she kept trying to talk to me.  after that i went to entrepeneurship and sat around waiting for it to end cause it was boring.  the guy talks in monotone and he has a ‘nasal’ voice too.  oh well i’m going to clean my room up now and settle down to study so i can spend saturday at the game!  oh my  mcat thing isnt going to well since i had to cancel last week and trang had to cancel this week.  hopefully we can meet this coming week and i’m going to review over my old test to prepare for it too.   oh and later this week i’m going to go outside with arisu and try to take some pictures of her =)
