Rogue Idea

basically linda wanted to get a wii for her bf and so she wanted me to come so we can split up and wahtever and get one.  now i honestly didnt think it was gonna be too hard but apparently it was chaotic this morning at game stores or any store that had this console for sale.  anyways, so 5:30 she calls me to wake me up, and the plan is she was gonna go to target and see how long the line is.  at that time we believed there to be 30-40 wii’s at the targets.  she was like #20 or so.  so she calls me and says shes in safe but people were arriving and that target is 30 minutes away from me.  so i go to the target near me and there was like…75 people.  there was a LOT of people.  then i drove over to toys r us and it was even WORSE.  now, i shouldve just drove 5 minutes out to the nearest EB Games first but it was VERY foggy and dark this morning so i decided to go to target because i thought id be ‘for sure’ gonna get one if they had that many (one of her friends told her all targets had around 25-40 wii’s). okay so because it was this foggy i went over to the mall – big mistake because it looked like this the entire time i was driving until i was literally only meters away from the front of the store where i could see people and light from the store -

okay so thats how dark it was the ENTIRE time i was driving it freaked me out.  a lot of times when no one else was driving it felt like i was just driving into no where. i didnt see any exit signs, any street signs or anything so thankfully tehre are some lights around the mall area in the parking lots or i wouldve missed it.  anyways like i said they were packed.  so i went back to my house and went to the EB Games 5 minutes away from me which was hidden by the fog.  i get there and im the fourth person so i’m thinking omg im actually gonna get one.  okay so i stay there.  and linda is on here way there to meet me because suprise suprise target only has 15!  now its weird because she lives on the other side of town and 4 other people who were in line with her also flew down 30 minutes straight through town to my EB Games as their last hope.  well linda gets there and shes #7 because two people came just before she did.

so EB games doesnt open till 10 a.m. which would explain why less people were going to that one.  actually..i have no idea why people didnt wait at that one because the game stop at the otherside of town had people camp there over night and they also open at 10 a.m.  okay well everyone person who shows up has a different story about how many they heard the store has.  anywhere from 4, 6, 10, 11.  so  i was feeling pretty good because the smallest number was 4 and i was number 4. lol.   basically after the phone call from her saying that shes coming from target, other people fromthere were coming over to the eb games near me too so there was a lot of people driving by and counting to see if they wanted to wait or not.

so while we were waiting i call frankie and told him where i was, and i didnt know that he wanted a nintendo wii (linda needed me there because she wanted to get one for her cousin too, so she actually needed two).  so i asked him did he want one and he said yes (i was suprised causei didnt know he wanted one) so i was like..uhhh…why dont i just get one then, im here anyways.  but then linda’s cousin went to another store to try to get one too so i was like okay im getting one for frankie and linda can still get one for her bf.  so this was exciting except that we werent gonna get one if linda couldnt since i had originally waited in line for her.  so we were hoping that theres 10 and not 4.  well it turns out she was lucky (and me too cause if there was 4 i wouldve given her the one i got) because there was 8.  so yeah i ended up buying one and the rest of the like 15 people who were there went home tired and wii – less.  lol.

anyways so thats my story about how i got a wii this morning lol.  i didnt get any games because i didnt know what games were good yet. so yeah frank and i are trying to look up some stuff about it and see.  i honestly dont know anything about this thing but i just bought it cause frankie said he wanted it.  this other lady said there was something about being able to download and play other nintendo console games on it though but i dont know about that.  anyways i have 30 days to change my mind in case i do.  but we’ll see.  =)

oh and i’m babysitting my cousin’s dog for i think till the end of this week.  here is he standing on my lap:

and i am at home. yeah well i was planning to go out with chau today but then i got the shaft and ended up at home because no one decides to tell me that they all made plans and were depending on me to stay home and watch the baby. so i was pretty pissed last night because of that especially because i hardly ever make plans and i finally felt like going out. well i guess i’ll spend today finally cleaning my room.  lets take a look at how bad it is right now.  okay actually this is not that bad compared to other times i’ve seen it, but its still pretty bad.  now, the good thing is this is all clean clothes.  its just that i put them on and then decide not to wear them and then they go wherever.  and i just did more laundry yesterday so i really need to put all this up so that it doesnt just keep piling up all over the place.

another thing is.  my frank and yvette site.  has CRASHED AND BURNED. basically after i switched servers like months ago i had lot of broken link problems (mainly due to just forgetting to upload the pictures, lol)  but then i uploaded them and then like..i moved them around for some reason. so yeah today im gonna fix all of that crap and get the whole thing over with.
speaking of getting things over with i FINALLY ordered my marching band show on video tape the other day. that feels SO good.  basically i didnt order it when i was in highschool because i didnt have the money to (its like 50 – 130 dollars for TAPES of marching bands) now granted now they do them on dvd or tape and you have the option but for my year it was only video tape.  so before i didnt have the money to buy and it had always bugged me because i really wanted it on tape and i could not find it anywhere online no matter where i looked or who i called.  well finally last month i found this website that does the recording for these contests and i contacted them, they said they only had the prelims left for my year.  i kind of thought about it for a while because i really really wanted the finals show but then the other day i just called and ordered it and got it over with.  i got the tapes in the mail yesterday (very fast, i ordered like on wednesday morning).  well i found the show and watched it and lets just say now i’m very happy i bought the damn tape, lol.  even though i know that the show looked a tiny bit sharper in the finals this was sufficient enough for me i guess.  its comes on two tapes and the quality is really really good so yeah even though its a complete rip off i’m glad i bought it finally.

well my grades are starting to roll in online and im pretty pissed because i shouldve had at least a 3.66 in organic but i got a notch lower.   in the lab i made a 4.0 though, which im suprised of because every semester they only give out two 4.0’s per class and lets just say competition is like….really f-ing crazy in there.  well those are the only two grades i’ve gotten so far but i’m waiting for genetics, biochemistry and history to give me my grade.  i’m thinking history will probably be last because it was three essays per person and theres about 400 people in that class and only three TA’s that grade. thats the only thing i hate about essay tests is that it takes so damn long to get back.

so final exams are over and christmas is almost here.  i have no clue what i want for christmas yet.  i know that sounds weird cause usually people asking what OTHERs want or are thinking of what theyll get other people for christmas.  i just shop for myself and a few other people.  this year i really want a digital piano.  i was gonna get a keyboard but i talked to a friend last night and i agree with him that its better to just buy a digital piano.  and when i look at the price differences its really not all that much more and i’ll be MUCH more satisfied.  right now i’m practicing using this CASIO keyboard which is the oldest thing ever its my little cousins.  she got an upright piano afterwards so this was stashed away until last year when i borrowed to practice on for my little piano class.  but seriously, it makes me want to kill myself.  not that its a not a nice keyboard.  cause its a nice keyboard.  but thats exactly what it is, a KEYBOARD.  keys.  on a board.  those two things do NOT add up anywhere near a real piano.   now keyboards in the past decade or so have become way sophisticated and have all sorts of things to help better simulate a real piano feel.  those are incredibly expensive and a digital piano is really only a little bit more.

basically i was looking for three things in a new keyboard last night : 1. it has to be decent looking.  i know this has nothing to do with actual piano playing, but who wants to play on an ugly piano?  2.  it has to be able to do dynamics because i am so sick and tired of playing in monotone.  3.  at least ’some’ resonance.  so i know the last two were gonna cost me quite a lot, and they did when i was surfing for one last night.  so i took my friend’s advice and decided to get a digital piano.  now its just..am i really gonna get it?  basically i really want to,  but …i dont know if i have that kind of money to spend.  okay well i CAN spend that amount of money but i dont wanna spend too much all at once because i want some other stuff too, lol.  i guess i’ll just wait till after christmas and see what i wanna do.

so today after my final exam i went to the atm machine to try to get some money out.  well that didnt work so i was thinking i’ll just transfer it to my other bank account when i get  home. anyways after going through a really long and horrble process i was suprised to see the amount i planned to take out PLUS 25 extra dollars as a ‘wiring fee’.  WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT ABOUT.  okay…well i know what its about. but STILL.  25 dollars?!  ughhh i am SO pissed.  so tomorrow i am gonna go to the atm machine again and ill take all my money out of there (no fee) even if it takes me like 50 transactions.  STUPID.

well i am still wake. i “think” i fell asleep at around 8 finally. although it took a long time of laying there trying not to think about anything so i can try to sleep. but i was back awake in no time and it was weird because usually if i stay up late its a real bitch to wake up. but this time it was like i didnt even sleep at all, i was wide awake in a split second. i dont even actually remember sleeping really i just layed there for a long time so i think i mightve dozed off. but anyways im still wide awake and not tired. well just now i went to wordpress.org and got this image security thingy plugin. it said it was for version 1.5 but it works on mine. actually i dont really know what version i’m on i think its 2.0. well yeah so i hope that slows down or stops the incoming spam. i mean i dont get a lot of spam, but i get a fair amount probably like 5 that get through , and 10 show up in my moderate list wheni check in. which is about once or twice a month so i dont think its that bad. but anyways i hope that thing helps me i tested it and it seems to work fine so yeah.  i also put in this askimet or something that looks at spam . i dont know but i activated it.
okay i am gonna go eat some ham right now. and then im gonna come back and talk about my two hours at frys trying to decide which external harddrive to get and also which video editing program to get.

okay im back now. lol. okay let me take some pics of my external hard drive. its iomega. its standing in the picture but it can also sit flat which is what i put it but this was easier for me to take a picture of. anyways its 250gb which is like way morethan enough for me. i couldnt decide on what i wanted, there were slightly better deals for 300+ gb hard drives there but seriously i don’t need that much. plus i didnt wanna ’spend money to save money’. anyways after spending like an hour looking around i finally decided to get this one. after that i was looking at some of the video editing software because they had of the ones i was looking at online there so i just wanted to look. well i couldnt decide which one still. why do i want video editing? well it started off when i just wanted to make a little short project (which wouldnt even involve editing) but then i was like well no i want it to look GOOD. so thats how i decided i would get something, obviously i wont be using it just the one time which is why i cant decide because its like asking me what might i want to do in 6 months?

okay there is my free book. i still havent really looked at it yet but i probably will next week once my final exams are over. but recently i’ve been reading the book you can see behind it, its called Biochemistry. so yeah.

okay well this is all for now. i’m still awake and still not sleepy. so yeah this whole double shot thing was kind of a disaster. i was thinking it would keep meup till like 1 or 2 pm. not 1 or 2 days straight.

i will never drink another double shot can. today i decided i was gonna see what its like to drink an energy drink. i was feeling a bit sluggish through the day so i went to walgreens and was gonna drink this monster thing but frank said the starbucks double shot was good. so i bought both but i drank the double shot. needless to say that was 8 hours ago and its now 4:48 a.m. and i am WIDE awake. i am not tired or sleepy at all and i feel really weird. so anyways i have been reading my book since i am awake anyways but wanted to take a little break. i really cannot believe i am still awake right now. actually 3 hours after i drank that stuff i was feeling like…really weird. but then after that i-feel-like-a-zombie hour or two then i was just awake like it was in the middle of the day or something. which it isnt.

well i have three final exams this week so i will be studying a lot but its almost over. once its over then i can work on some other stuff i’ve been putting off. i finally got some songs picked out to learn over the break and thankfully the songs i liked didnt end up being too hard plus my friends helped me pick some out. granted most of the ones she suggested are from anime or something but oh well.

so last night (well, last night’s last night) i watched Mean Girls on tbs. i thought it was pretty funny except the story line was a bit bad but i guess thats as good as its gonna get if you wanna make a movie about mean high school girls.

one of the songs that my friend picked out i found the sheet music to online (which apparently a LOT of people have trouble finding it or something) but it scanned in from someone’s book. now i downloaded it then i was like well i gotta print it so i gotta send it to my email now to print it on the other computer. butthen i was like…each file is 4 mb. yes a 4 mb bmp file , and theres three pages. so then i decided to just translate all the music into my own file so its less than 4 mb and i can print it better. well that turned out to be better but then again its taking me much longer. i guess i dont mind since it gives me a chance to really read the music very carefullly but its just a pain in the butt cause i had to get used to using this music editing program again.

well sorry to cut this short but i think i’m going to take off now and work out a little bit since theres not much else to do at this time of day. now i understand why theres a 24 hour fitness…
