Rogue Idea

Every once in a while I actually leave my room to watch t.v. outside (instead of playing FRIENDS reruns in here on the dvd) and I realize what a terrible world it is out there. People are so self absorbed and all the reality t.v. shows are just playing on this to make loads of money. So I’m watching t.v. and there is nothing really good on except stupid pointless shows anymore.

Now a days it seems like everything is being ‘made over’- houses, rooms, faces, boobs, etc. I’m wonder what kind of idiot would sign up for some of these shows. I have to admit that I sometimes like to watch the house make overs because I like watching them redo houses and make them all pretty. But the whole we can make you look like a celebrity, let us make you pretty shows are just stupid. For example, there used be this show “the Swan” basically all these ugly people audition/apply to be on it, and then the ugliest ones get picked, they get made up and all these surgeries and then they compete in this contest to be “the Swan”. First of all, does this mean that the ones who don’t win are still ugly ducklings? Yes, most of the time the person doesn’t even look all that much different except maybe they finally got their teeth whitened and new glasses after 40 years. Second of all, they all don’t look that great afterwards anyways and usually they look VERY fake. If tomorrow I came out of my room with a perfect even tan I’m pretty sure no one is going to believe me that I tanned out at the beach. Same thing with this situation I think, you can’t go from green to red without it making a ugly color here and there somewhere hinting that its fake.

And the MOST rediculous thing is I just want to ask these people is it really worth the 10 minutes of “fame” to go through all this so you can be exploited and then have 30 minutes of shame that more people will remember you for anyways?? If someone is missing an eye I’m sure they have been planning to find some way to make themselves look more normal to stop people from staring. I totally understand those kinds of things. I do NOT understand a perfectly normal person sending in an application saying “Hi, I’m not pretty enough to be a model; But I think that I’m ugly enough for you to make money off of in exchange for making me look like a idiot on t.v. and then later look like I came out of a whore store. Please pick me, I’m as ugly as they get!” Not only is it the make over shows but also other stupid shows too like those reality ‘life’ shows where they just put a bunch of idiots together and watches to see what happens. No one really remembers those people unless its for something bad. So what if they’re good looking? Next seasons they’ll have someone else play the ‘Hot Couple’ and no one will give a damn what happened to the old people.

*sigh* I guess I’m just tired of people being so shallow to the point where they would do dumb things like this just to get a surgery on themselves, be on tv for 10 minutes or make a little bit of money. Its like no one has self respect for themselves anymore!

On another note I don’t have to go to school tomorrow because I got exempted from the final exam since I have an A. Don’t know what grade exactly but I guess I’ll just figure it out later. Anyways to celebrate I made myself a picture of an A (sort of).
